Most people do not have the time to search all over
the 'Net for articles relating to what they can do. Judging
whether an article is worthy of consideration takes a while, as well.
That is why we have done a lot of the work! We cull pertinent
articles, clips, etc. from various sites. You may notice that
many of the resources, news, and articles in this section were
derived from secular, Mormon, Catholic, and other sites.
Unfortunately, there is very little information out there from
Christian sources. But, we also have several articles
that we have written.

"A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth
himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished."
Proverbs 22:3 & 27:12

working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to
give to him that needeth."
Ephesians 4:28b
" And let them
gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn
under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities."
Genesis 41:35
"And there stood up
one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there
should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass
in the days of Claudius Caesar. Then the disciples, every man
according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren
which dwelt in Judaea: Which also they did, and sent it to the
elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul."
Acts 11:28-30
"But if any
provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he
hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel."

Many Christians, who study current
events and are discerning of the events in our world (physical and
spiritual), are often concerned about what they can do to provide for
their family. Proverbs 22:3 & 27:12 talk about the prudent man,
who "foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on,
and are punished." (Word
study on this verse)
In the Bible, Joseph was prudent in
preparing for the economic and food disaster that hit the nation of
Egypt for seven years.
These resources are not on how to be a
'survivalist', or to rehash Y2K; but to serve as advice on how
Christians can be responsible watchmen and stewards with our families
I Timothy 5:8 - “But if any provide not for his own and specially
for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than
an infidel.”

American soil is now the most depleted of all the continents on the globe.
This ill advised, but probably carefully planned, introduction of poor
fertilizer has been associated with failure to provide trace minerals to

when the body contains adequate amounts of trace minerals the
disappearance of zinc, magnesium, selenium, iodine, manganese etc. has led

Just talked with my
daughter who resides in Port Charlette Florida , and
was there when Charlie came thru ; quite the mess, thankfully she
and
children are ok , property loss extensive for them in Punta Gorda
where
they have a business.
one thing she mentioned was " charcoal " ( of all things) and how
useful it
was when all the power was out . I began thinking about this and how
safe
charcoal would be in comparison to flammable liquids, etc. I will be
adding
this to my list and stocking some as well .
She was well supplied for the storm ,but had to leave because they
had no
generator to run the air conditioner; and no water to shower. She
made the
comment " it looks llike a bomb hit Punta Gorda". We lived in
Naples 30 years and never seen anything like
this, . She can't believe the total devastation and how
mean-spirited some
of the people have been , most she said were nice and helpful, but
some of
those reactions frightened her. I know this experience will stay
with her
for a very long time to come ....I live in Pa and and missed all the
action
...I spent my time praying for my family's safety . Lost
communications in
the afternoon and that's a very scary situation....

"Winter 2002 late
December we were without electricity for 24 hours, and no water due

stored, and I had propane to cook, and heat up water for sponge
bathing, and keeping my hands clean. A week of that would have been
a challenge!" [11/22/4] |
