Hard Thoughts and Notes: If things get bad...
Daniel Valles  4/25/4

Here is a loose collection of small notes and observations.  Most of them take place in a long-term disaster situation, terrorist attack, or national emergency.

bullet Would you be able to harm or even kill other human beings even if you/family were threatened?  What about if your resources were threatened?

bullet When general lack of preparedness in a community, town, or nation is low, the desperation for resources will be greater.

bullet Besides the casualties from attack, disaster, or emergency, there can be even greater casualty numbers from the secondary effects.

bullet Do you have a meeting place pre-selected in another town/state where you will go/meet if there is a disaster, emergency, or attack in your area?  Do your friends and family know to look for you there to find out if you are safe?

bullet Where is the nearest pond or lake within five miles?  (water for sanitation)

bullet If you were told you have fifteen minutes to leave your area/house, would you be able to grab everything you need?  Can you leave sooner than that if it was necessary?

bullet How long is your current supply of food in your house?  1 week? 2?  A month?  Is your entire current supply of water only your faucets?

bullet "Remember you are a much better witness for the Messiah if you are healthy and have food and water. It is hard to witness to someone if you are digging in the same garbage can for something to eat." - Jerry Golden, thegoldenreport.com
