"Where is Truth?  Part 2"
Daniel Valles

READ Isaiah 59

What will happen to those that reject the departure from truth? The Christian that breaks out of the lethargic, lukewarm Laodicean church mentality and seeks only what Christ wants - regardless of whether it is popular or not - will instantly become marked. If you encounter hostility even in your church or Christian group because you do not compromise on Biblical standards or discernment, do not be surprised. This chapter forewarns us that this will happen. Verse 15 warns, "he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey." If you depart from evil, expect criticism, exile, and even personal attacks. Yes, this is not the most desired position in this world, to be the object of criticism, but in the same verse where Christ warns about the fallout received from the world, He states that it greatly "displeased him that there was no judgment." If you have set your jaw and decided to follow Christ no matter what, and exercise Biblical judgment and discernment, then God is greatly pleased.

In verse two, God gives a warning to us about our prayers. "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear." Psalms 66:18 also warns, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." Many times today, tomorrow, and the weeks ahead, we will be given a simple choice: Do we choose to listen and obey, or turn a deaf ear and depart?

Listen to what the Bible says, seek its truths, read its examples, learn its precepts, know its commandments, grab hold of the truth, hearken to it, plead for more truth, depart from evil.
