"Who Am I? Part 4"
Daniel Valles

UNDER THAT PLEDGE, WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MY MISSION?

My duties and responsibilities are to fear God: the greatest commandment.  Eccl. 12:13 sums it up by stating, "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."  This entails any aspect of obeying the commandments and principles outlined in His Word.  Luke 11:28 says, "blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."

I am to eschew evil.  I Peter 3:11 commands, "Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it."  I am to abhor that which is evil.  "Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good." - Romans 12:9.  I am aware that failure to follow my responsibilities will be charged against me, and that I must strive to be found a faithful steward.  "Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." - Matthew 25:12.
