"Too Wonderful"
How often do we think about God? How often do we think about how much He loves us and thinks about us? In this chapter, David extols that God fixation on us is so great, that David said just thinking about it was "too wonderful for me". Our puny little brain cannot fathom the total love and involvement that God has toward us. The fact that no matter what we do, what we think, what we say, where we go, when we were, or even when we are asleep, God thoroughly knows us! Even before we were growing in our mother's womb, David said that God knew us; and as we grew, He knew "all my members". Even the minutest detail about your life is important and precious to God. Even so much as the length of the fingernail on your pinky finger is noted. David is awed when he considers that God thinks so much about us that we cannot even number them. Even when we are asleep and doing nothing, God thinks about us. It reminds me of the earthly picture of a parent sitting by their child's bed at night, just watching them sleep. He loves us - "such knowledge is too wonderful for me." One day, like Moses in Exodus 33:11, we shall see Him "face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend."
Revelation 22:20 "He which testifieth these things
saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. |
