"Are You Saved?"
Daniel Valles

READ I John 5:13

There are many people in the world today who perhaps question what their religion teaches them.  They wonder whether they will ever be good enough, do enough good deeds, or if they will somehow merit grace.  I talked with a lady tonight who was wondering with all of the religions out there, how can someone know if they are saved?  Christ gave us His Word, so that we "may know that ye have eternal life."  The verse goes on to specify that believing on the name of the Son of God is how we get saved.  Verse 11, above it, clarifies that God has given us eternal life in His son.  "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life."  Salvation is as easy as A-B-C.  Admit, Believe, and Confess.

A - Admit that you are a sinner, worthy of punishment.
Romans 3:10 says, "There is none righteous, no, not one".  Romans 3:23 explains that "all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

B - Believe that Christ can save you
Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 5:8 explains that "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

C - Confess your need for Him
Romans 10:9-10 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Romans 10:13 guarantees us, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

I hope and pray that you have Christ Jesus as your Saviour, because we can know that we have eternal life!
