"Lord, Lord"
Daniel Valles

READ Luke 6:46

Image if Christ asked us that pointed question today: "Why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things I say?"  Why do you say you are a Christian who loves me, yet you watch _________, listen to _____________, tolerate ___________, etc.?

My pastor once preached an excellent message on Christian athiests.  They say they are saved, love Christ, etc., but they live as though He does not exist.  Did we live today as though Christ not only exists, but that He is right now watching what we are doing?

How can we keep this one our mind?  Psalm 141:3 says, "Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.  Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties."

"O Lord, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing."  Jer. 10:24

Ask God for help, avoid sin and those given to sin, and also ask your fellow brethren for help.  vs. 5 says, "Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities."

"When thou saidst, "Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek."  Psalm 27:8
