"What Is A Salty Christian? - Part VII" When Saul observed Stephen, such a desire came into his heart that he tried to drown it out with a greater persecution. Saul (who became Paul) along with Silas exemplified such fullness of Christ that the poor Roman jailer cried out "What must I do to be saved?" or, "How can I have what you have?" Anyone ever ask you that? ever someone say- What makes you different? Jesus was, in effect, saying "You are unlike the world- your goal is different- your function is different- your desire is different. What salt is in the realm of nature you are to be in the spiritual life- salt. A salty Christian is one who has personal fidelity to Christ -no other master -one who does not go with the flow but resists... stopping the spread of corruption in his sphere of life. -One who by word and deed is a purifying influence through the Gospel lived out and spoken out -One whose life is so attractive that others desire to have the Christ that you have. |
