RECAP NEWSLETTER - 1/24/5 Issue 30
DEVOTIONS Recently I heard the President give his second inaugural address. He ended with a phrase that instantly brought a verse to mind. He stated, "May God bless you, and may He watch over the United States of America." The verse that it reminded me of was when Daniel was asking God to forgive the sins of his people and restore the people and land from the devastating captivity. As Daniel recounted how God's people had gone astray, he remarked that the whole time Israel was sinning, God was watching the evil. He was taking note of the iniquities being committed in the land. Daniel noted that their iniquities had gotten so bad that "thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us." (vs.16) Even though they called themselves God's people, they had sinned to where even the unbelieving countries around them looked down on them. Does this sound familiar in our day? Our nation is the largest promoter of decadence in this world, and other nations have termed the word "Westernization or Western-influence" to describe when social mores and lessening of moral restraints are introduced into their own country. We have God on our money, buildings, national motto, and even thousands of bumper stickers - yet God has been watching.
The time will come when the Lord will turn on us the same evil (vs. 14).
God will be righteous when He judges sin. He has kept the tally, watched
angrily every day, and waited for us to obey His voice. Was our President
aware of the implication of his words? Maybe. Unfortunately, unless our
President and country obey God's voice, He will be watching, and we will
not be blessed.

CURRENT EVENT RECAP I was watching the inauguration speech for the third time, when an acquaintance also stopped by and watched a part. It was interesting to judge his reaction when Bush placed the Sermon on the Mount as equal to the teachings of the Koran AND the "varied faiths of our people." This acquaintance was dumbfounded, not necessarily at that remark, but that the majority of Christians gush all over Bush when he is obviously and publicly wrong on the most vital doctrines in the world!! To include such blasphemy in one of his most important speeches should ring warning bells among Christians, but it doesn't!! He also made several references to New Age ideologies. When he remarked about the "rule of conscience in our own lives" and "governing of the self", I was reminded of Proverbs 21:2 "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." Judges 17:6 "In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes." We are not our own gods, like the New Age mantras teach. Our nation's character depends not on the rule of conscience, or the governing of the self, but the rule of God and His Word. Unless you trip on his statement about the "truths of Sinai" and the "Sermon on the Mount", take it in context of what he said. He was stating that many beliefs (Koran, varied faiths, etc.) make character. It was interesting that the two 'Christian' analogies that he used were extremely broad and non-threatening. The 'truths of Sinai' is the Ten Commandments. Most people still view them as good moral laws to abide by. The Sermon on the Mount, for most people, carries the idea of the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do to you. These two references were not inserted for their relevancy, they were inserted for kudos and brownie points. If you have the chance to listen to the speech, you will notice the applause is most vigorous after his 'Christian' statements. In the last RECAP, I predicted that he would not address the subject of abortion. Not only did he not mention abortion, but he did not even come close to the subject of the sanctity of human life, let alone the shedding of innocent blood. No, the thoughts that constantly bear on this 'christian' man are "the dignity and security of economic independence." By reforming our nation, he does not dwell on calling us to repentance of our gross sin, but instead formulates how to "widen the ownership of homes and businesses, retirement savings and health insurance - preparing our people for the challenges of life in a free society." I would hardly call that challenging, or worthy of mentioning as the whole pursuit of our nation. He then reiterated these same goals on his weekly radio address the following Saturday. His idea of 'reform' does not recognize the necessity of our children and nation to learn about God, remove immorality from our land, exercise proper justice in law, capital punishment, and the preservation of innocent life. The appalling thing is that when you ask most Christians what needs to be done in our country, they will list off the same things he did! - social security, retirement, health and medicare, taxes, etc. About the closest he came to mentioning a moral problem in our country was the subject of racism. He had a neat play on words, but abortion is a greater problem than racism! Abortion kills children of any color or ethnic background! Besides, racism will not be cured by 'neighborly love.' Racism, the idea of a superior race, can only be truly overthrown by the recognition that all people are humans of one blood. There are no 'races' or classes of people. We are all human, made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26, 5:1). Until that truth is taught and recognized, the concept of a superior class of people will continue. Toward the end of the speech, he made an interesting statement: "Not because history runs on the wheels of inevitability; it is human choices that move events. ...When our Founders declared a new order of the ages ...they were acting on an ancient hope that is meant to be fulfilled." There are two views of history: one that history is a sequence of random events. The other is that events are orchestrated for a desired end. The statement that he made is interesting in that it appears to be a subtle mention that the course that he is following is one that has already been planned out in order to fulfill the new order of the ages (New World Order). What is a New World Order? A system of ideals, morals, and governing that are not based on Christian or Biblical concepts, but a framework that represents the morals, ideals, and control of Satan. That is why values and morals in America and the world are flip-flopping to opposite extremes. The NWO is beyond the scope of this newsletter, and I hope to write about it more fully in the near future. Is Bush aware of the fact that he is instrumental (as a puppet) to the furthering and fulfillment of that "ancient hope?" I believe so. You may have seen mention in the news and websites regarding the Bush's frequent use of the Satanic salute. The hand sign that he gave represents the horned god of witchcraft, Pan (Satan) or Cernunnos. It is a sign of recognition between those in the Occult. It is not the "I love you" sign-language sign. It is close, but different. It is not the "Hook 'em, 'horns" associated with the University of Texas Longhorns. True, Bush was the governor in Texas, and maybe if he just did it at the Texas Longhorn marching band review, it could be dismissed as conjectural. However, the constant usage by him, his wife, his daughters, and his mother at several separate events raises suspicion. Why, at the Inauguration, the biggest day in American events, does the Bush family decide to repeatedly let everyone know how much they love the University of Texas? We are now in the realm of circumstantial evidence. We know that Bush belongs to and attends Satanic fraternities (Skull and Bones) and events (Bohemian Grove). He steadfastly refuses to even discuss his relationship with Skull and Bones during television interviews. When he visited Yale recently, he made the same sign to the audience. The headquarters of the Skull and Bones society is located at Yale (which is not in Texas). Well, what is the common usage of this Satanic salute? Even the secular papers (US and international) all stated that this particular Satanic salute is common with heavy metal rock bands and their fans. Ok, that then leads us to ask, What is the favorite heavy metal rock star for the Bush family? It would have to be someone they like so much they talk about it, know the titles of the songs, invites them to a White House dinner, and enjoys talking and joking with them. The only one that meets that criteria is the Satanic Rocker, Ozzy Osbourne. (May 2002, http://news.bbc.co.uk). Bush himself even listed off the favorite songs crowed by this satanist - "Party With the Animals", "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath", "Face in Hell", "Black Skies" and "Bloodbath in Paradise." He is a willing member of societies steeped in death and satanic rituals. Should we then be surprised when he signals to the other occultists and world leaders that he is 'following the plan' and that 'everything is proceeding as planned?' Oh, and did I mention that Inauguration day was also the same day as the most important event on the witchcraft transition calendar? It is when "the sun travels from Capricorn, the sign of the goat, into Aquarius, the 11th sign and haven of the new age of antichrist." Why can many of the unsaved see the hypocrisy of this man, when Christian look at him through rose-tinted glasses, seeing only what they want to see? Our country and land is on the threshold of a tragedy of untold proportions. When our leader knows more about Satanism and heavy metal than he cares to let on, when he does not even mention the greatest moral and spiritual needs of our country in one of his biggest speeches - and Christians love him - it should make one very concerned that the ones he works hardest to deceive are the Christians. What is in store for those who do not recognize the signs of the times? The direction that he will be taking us will be a road of destruction. Our economy is deep in deficit with foreign nations favoring the stability and value in the Euro rather than the dollar. Our forces meant to protect our country are involved in foreign entanglements contrary to our Constitution, killing our country's finest merely at the whim of a president who garnered the consent of the 'moral majority' who failed to exercise discretion or discernment. Now that same President tells the troops that "much more will be asked of you." Condoleezza Rice identifies "outposts of tyranny" around the world that seem to be the farthest you can get from each other. Where is this heading? In his inaugural speech, Bush stated that America's actions abroad had "lit a fire as well - a fire in the minds of men. It warms those who feel its power, it burns those who fight its progress, and one day this untamed fire of freedom will reach the darkest corners of our world." Our actions have already lit a fire - drawing the ire of foreign nations who saw through our flimsy excuses to occupy foreign lands. Iran, Russia, and others have already stated that America should not act unilaterally anymore. The fire we have lit will eventually burn us. What about you right now? We have looked at some extremely disturbing events transpiring in the seat of our own government. Can we change it? No. The Bible states that the kings of the world will give their power to the Antichrist in the last days. In the meantime, they go on smiling, using Christian cliques, while quietly building their foundation. What foundation are you building? What are you working toward? Satanists will go to great lengths and bodily harm for Satan because of the false idea of reincarnation. The average Christian only serves God on the weekend, when it is convenient, just so he can put another notch in his belt or sticker on some chart. Lift your eyes up off of this sinful world. Are you running your course for eternity or are you running around on your little rat wheel hoping to get a better wheel? Do not live for this world!! Seek Christ first and highest above everything and everyone else!! "As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth. Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice. And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly."
