FEMA: Friend or Foe?

FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) is now a household name. It
is synonymous with disaster relief, recovery, food and water
distributions, etc. Many people have the idea that the primary purpose
of FEMA is for disaster relief work. However, according to the General
Accounting Office in 1992, less than ten percent is used for natural
disaster relief. FEMA has dozens of underground command posts near
Washington D.C., embodies most of the power from the War and Emergency
Powers Acts (1933), uses refurbished military installations, has
access to scores of detention facilities mostly housed on military
bases, and reports directly to the President. Should the President
declare a national emergency, FEMA has the authority and ability to
censor radio, television, mail, and "other means of transmission
crossing the borders of the United States." (Defense Resources Act,
Section 1001), and assume virtually unlimited power (Executive Order
12148). They have the power to relocate people, establish civilian
prison camps (DOA ATKO-KM July 1994), authority to assume military
control in the event of widespread civil unrest (Presidential
Directive 54, REX-84), authority to assume all governmental functions
(REX 84), and much, much more.
With the incredible power given to FEMA, with no oversight, checks, or
balances, suspension of Constitutional law and it's tenets, should we
be concerned that all they are waiting for is the "acceptable
justification". Right now as I write, in Pensacola, Florida, FEMA is
the white knight providing relief to this area ravaged by Hurricane
Ivan. Granted, the work they are doing is noble, but we are just
seeing barely the tip of the iceberg of the resources and manpower
available to this agency. I was mildly surprised seeing how fast
everything was mobilized and organized. The two major cities in this
area, Pensacola and Mobile were mainly affected; but FEMA snaps their
fingers and things get done. They have gone to practically every house
dropping off or offering MREs, prepared meals, arranging for fallen
limbs to get cleaned up, etc. I had the opportunity to talk with an
individual in charge of logistics for the mobile teams that spread
into the various areas of the city, establishing relief stations. He
described their RV that was outfitted with satellite uplinks, computer
systems, power supplies, etc. Their job was to drive into an area
(under armed escort), and set up a temporary relief station. There,
people from the community would fill out claims, get some medical
attention, etc. We picked his brain for a little bit, getting what he
thought about the abnormal power held by FEMA. He was a medical
logistics volunteer, and did have modest concerns that the power
vested in such a body could be abused or used against the good people
volunteering for it. He saw martial law with armed troops as a
necessity which could be abused, but was needful.
My concern is that FEMA is using the 10% for disaster relief to get
people addicted. When disaster strikes, who bails us out? FEMA. When
the dam breaks, river floods, tornados touch, and hurricanes howl, who
do we wait for? FEMA. Why should I worry about providing for my family
with adequate food, water, and medical supplies if I expect FEMA to
bail us out? Why should I have my family's safety, welfare, and
provision resting almost wholy on a federal white knight that will one
day come riding down the street passing out MREs? Imagine now that
your community or city, like Pensacola and Mobile, expect FEMA to
provide for them. The armed relief command centers roll into your
ravaged area, ready to hand you MREs, water, blankets, tarps, gas, and
protection - IF you turn in your guns. No guns, you can starve. Good
luck getting help. Good luck not getting arrested and hauled off to a
detention camp for being a threat to your community.
You may have heard about the lists of individuals listed for "pick-up"
in case of national emergency and martial law. They are most commonly
referred to as the Red, Blue, and Green list. All those on the Red
list (those who would resist any takeover of our country, potential
patriot leaders) would be mostly rounded up just before the
declaration of a national emergency. The Blue list includes
conservatives, constitutionalists, assortment of Christians, etc. who
would be rounded up in the weeks following a takeover. The Green list
are 'nuisance' people. The sad thing is that all of this will happen
'legally' as they have granted themselves power through uncontested
enabling acts, executive orders, etc.
I am already concerned that perhaps the citizenry has become so used
to and dependant on FEMA, that they will have no qualms about telling
FEMA that you have guns, food, and material of an 'anti-government'
nature. Whatever perks FEMA offers them, your neighbor will probably
think they are doing the community a service. It is amazing to see in
Pensacola right now all the contractors hired by FEMA. The government
has floated ideas before (and present) about using third-parties such
as repairmen and utility men to be their eyes and ears in or near your
home. Something to think about.
It is my hope that this article gives you something to think about. I
have observed the FEMA deployment here, how quickly basic foods and
gasoline fell into shortage, and how enthusiastically the communities
have embraced and praised FEMA. Another disconcerting observation was
that many FEMA relief stations are set up at churches.
Evaluate your situation. Are you providing for your family's needs and
protections in case of national emergency? Food and water can become a
loaded weapon against you if you are not. We should not have to
compromise principle, authority, or responsibility. Will a national
emergency and martial law ever come? They have gone to great lengths
to make certain that they have unlimited power in the event of one.
With the constant, quiet push toward globalism and the erasure of
nationality, there will be an engineered national emergency. When it
happens, while you hand over your principles, liberties, freedoms,
protections, and responsibilities for a loaf of bread?

"Excellent, excellent article. I have had
grave concerns about FEMA for a long time, and you had information in
here I had not heard (the color-coded pick-ups). Because my family has
chosen to stay in the dark on most of the current events, I fear ol'
Christian, constitutionalist granny here will be separated from the
rest of my family at some point. Thank you for this article. God alone
can rescue us from the coming nightmare, and it is coming. "
"I live in Port St. Lucie, FL and as you
know, we were hit hard with Frances and Jeanne. I have personally
observed FEMA in action over here as well. Many of my neighbors
suggested I call FEMA to ask for help to cover costs of protecting my
house and to cover the expenses of losing work for three weeks. You
know, things insurance won't cover. I thought about it very seriously
and then opted not to. I don't want anything from the government.
Taking anything from the gov't is a contract with Lucifer himself.
God will help me through this much better than any gov't. body. It's
really frightening when you think about the power of FEMA and how
they're hoodwinking everyone in these disaster areas. I'm really glad
to see this article on your web page because FEMA's been on my mind
since it was established. Hopefully, this will make a lot of people
think before putting their trust in this gov't organization. "
